NAL research is CUHL for kids with hearing loss

3 August 2023

The Children with Unilateral Hearing Loss Study, The CUHL Study is conducted by the National Acoustic Laboratories and aims to investigate the impact of unilateral hearing loss on young children and to determine the relative effectiveness of early fitting for improving language development. There is currently no high-quality evidence on how to best manage unilateral hearing loss in young children.

NAL invites families to join after their child is identified with a unilateral hearing loss and will monitor their speech, language and hearing development with our specialist team of audiologists and speech pathologists.

Hearing Australia's Principal Audiologist, Paediatric Services Alison King, invites families to join The CUHL Study and explains how to participate.
