There are many opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to join our team and further your career while making a significant contribution to the people and communities we serve.  

Across the country, we have First Nations team members working in a range of clinical and non-clinical roles and corporate roles at our head office. We encourage First Nations peoples to apply for all roles at Hearing Australia. You can view all current vacancies here. 

We also have Identified First Nations roles working with community. These include: 

  • Clinical Community Advisor – Our Clinical Community Advisors support our audiologists and local health services with hearing assessments and rehabilitation pathways for First Nations children and adults. Read Rheanna’s story to learn more about what it’s like to be a Clinical Community Advisor at Hearing Australia. 

  • First Nations Partnership Specialist First Nations Partnership Specialists are responsible for strategic partner engagement and working closely with First Nations stakeholders at a state level. 

Other opportunities with us 

Hearing Australia has recently launched a First Nations Traineeship to help nurture careers in the hearing health sector for First Nations people. There are a range of roles available, and we encourage any Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people interested in pursuing a rewarding career within hearing care to register your interestWe also have a First Nations Scholarship Program for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people who want to pursue a career in audiology.
